CAMAA was founded around 1984 by a couple of fellow modelers, Bill Lanzo and Reggie Chitwood looking for a place to fly in Saline County. The first site was just west of Bryant High School then it moved to a location near Hill Road.
It wasn't long after that Ron Hubbard joined the group and was able to secure the current flying site just east of the Saline County landfill. The rest they say is history.
While we are a small club you will find a broad range of interests ranging from scale warbirds, giant scale aerobatic, sport and fun-fly models as well as the latest in electric flight. We even have some members involved in drone racing.
Spectators are welcome at the field anytime the gate is open. Hope to see you soon.
